Dr. Drema Dial* earned her doctoral degree from UT-Austin in Counseling Psychology. Her training includes specialization in eating disorders, couples work, depression and in-depth/ long term therapy. *(Formerly Dr. Drema Dial Albin)
Dr. Dial is a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas. She has advanced training in dealing with anxiety disorders, depression and other mood disorders, eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, and obesity) and body image issues.
She has been an Associate Professor in the Master's of Counseling Program at Texas State University-San Marcos and an adjunct Professor in the Master's of Counseling Program (MAC) at St. Edward's University.
Dr. Dial has done advanced training in working with people who are morbidly obese, considering bariatric surgery, or have had bariatric surgery. She performs pre-surgery psychological evaluations as well as post-surgery counseling.
Dr. Dial has done clinical work at Capital Area Mental Health Center, UT-Austin Counseling and Mental Health Center, Austin State Hospital, UT-San Antonio, and the University of Oregon Counseling Center.
Dr. Albin is currently on the Board of Trustees for the Texas Psychological Association.
